The sunshine woke me up. I saw the little dust speckles peacefully floating around and thought, "they're like fireflies." I don't know if they knew that I could see them. Last night I was walking back home. Thanks to the low buildings in Maine (where the highest one is less than 20 floors in the entire state), the sky is always in your vision. The sky was sheer. The stars were, too. Oh, they are light years away. The light is from the past reaching you. They are ancient, they are transcending, as they gently shine upon you. Thanks to Discovery Channel, these typical thoughts make me feel tiny. Like a speck of dust.

We didn't lose our wonders. We just are distracted from them.
