I'm a guy, so I pee as I am standing most of the times. I also leave the toilet seat down most of the times. There's no reason to ever mess with that seat because you can pee while the seat is on. This causes some splashing though, which is the main problem it causes. Living in a house of 6 guys, it's really rare to see the toilet seat up. I know, it might sound pretty disgusting, but it works out really quite alright if you don't think about it. Today the toilet seat was up, so I thought, "hah". And thought about the facts about guys I just wrote about. Then the seat all of a sudden shut amidst my stream. Pee under the seat. Hah.

Truth by Alexander Ebert and RZA.

The truth is that I never shook my shadow
Every day it's trying to trick me into doing battle
Calling out 'faker' only get me rattled
Wanna pull me back behind the fence with the cattle

Building your lenses, digging your trenches
Put me on the front line, leave me with a dumb mind
With no defenses, but your defense is
If you can't stand to feel the pain then you are senseless

Since this I've grown up some, different kind of fighter
And when the darkness come, let it inside you
Your darkness is shining, my darkness is shining
Have faith in myself
Truth

I've seen a million numbered doors on the horizon
Now which is the future you chosen before you gone dying
I'll tell you about a secret I've been undermining
Every little lie in this world comes from dividing

Say you're my lover, say you're my homie
Tilt my chin back, slit my throat,
Take a bath in my blood, get to know me
All out of my secrets, all my enemies are turning into my teachers

Because light's blinding, no way dividing
What's yours or mine when everything's shining
Your darkness is shining, my darkness is shining
Have faith in ourselves
Truth

Beautiful was the proof in the truth, and it shows in the youth
When they just do what they naturally do, truth is natural
It's actual, and it's factual
Perfection, pragmatic and practical
Unabbreviated, that which has not been deviated
Imperishable and can not be alleviated
It's the language of god, for it's he who created it
And made it, even when a man is cremated
Down to his ashes, his essence remains in the gases
Lies disintegrate as all time passes
Although illusions has been accepted by the masses
And they teach us lies every day in high school classes
Divine and sublime, unaffected by space, motion or time
The truth, the intensive nature of the mind
It's correct, for man has miscalculated
He misrepresented and they misinterpreted
If he feels light in the darkness, regardless

Your pure heart or heartless, it's the truth, it's the proof

Bon voyage.
...Boy, do we feel it.

"Don't you love blowing out candles? It reminds me of birthdays."

4:18 A.M. is right around that time when the procrastinating college student lies in her bed, staring at an empty computer screen full of potential--things to write, articles to read--it's right before she starts that the sense of apprehension reaches its peak. Once she starts, it's not so bad.

In college you're always amidst a sea of people. Meaning, you experience change each day, directly, vicariously, through friends, from hearsay, by yourself, and the crises you experience can all at once feel overwhelming and you learn to imagine, almost envision, panic. A lot more than you may innately know to do. I think that's the problem with boarding schools. Kids learn to panic before they learn to know themselves. Actually, perhaps it's just part of growing up.

During these formative years I think it's important to keep a cool head and not rush into big decisions. Trying to prove your worth is great, but there's a time and place for everything, and your time will come whether you like it or not, eventually. Patience. Confidence. Introspection. Learning!

Today I was talking about oxford commas and wondered whatever was so wrong with them. It makes total sense in my head to separate the last two items in a list, with a comma, as to give it a nice mental pause before closing. That's what commas are, right? Not only are they helpful in organizing thoughts onto paper, they're also aesthetically pleasing, almost a necessity, a sentence without a comma always seems rushed. Like a manmade waterfall. That's what poorly constructed sentences remind me of.
