Sometimes I find great humor in the fact that I'm in a school that requires talking to people all the time, a highly verbalized lifestyle, timeliness, lots of questions, intrusion, anal personalities, physical stamina.

There's a Korean saying that would go a little something like this in English: "Leave during the applause." It's meant to suggest that one should know to gracefully exit during the peak of their success / fame / honor / relevance, instead of after the applause has subsided, which would be analogous to one's slow decline to normalcy.
